How to Approach the Design Process as a Professional Pattern Maker
November 2 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Founded in 1964, the Haute Couture Club of Chicago (HCCC) caters to independent designers, fashion educators, and sewing enthusiasts from across the United States. Based in Chicago, our 140+ members have a love for fine fabrics, quality tools, and timeless techniques. HCC has been recognized in national magazines, such as Threads and Vogue Patterns, for the expertise of our members and the quality of our fashion shows.
In order to launch your line, you need to start the design process to finalize all of your great ideas. At this meeting of the HCCC, I will be discussing a demo of the design process, tips and techniques for flat patterning, draping and computer aided designing and how these techniques can inspire the design process for the upcoming spring fashion show.
