ReDesign Work: Old Furs See New Life

Some of my most recent custom projects have included some fur coat re-design work. I think this is a great way to get new life from an old coat, and I love the idea of recycling a fur coat rather than buying a new one. My client Michelle was bored with the look of the coat. The original over-sized full length coat just swallowed her up! I removed the cuffs on the sleeves, resized the body (while still leaving room to wear sweaters and other winter apparel), and took about 12 inches from the length. One of my favorite details: the scalloped hem. The coat flatters her shape and can easily be worn dressed up or as an every day option. I'm happy to report that Michelle was extremely pleased with the results!
